I’ve been here twice now and it’s already become one of my favorite cafes in the city. ♥️ The Persian Latte and matcha are both great, as are the dates stuffed with nuts - can’t wait to try more of their drinks and food items in the future. The owners are very kind and friendly. The atmosphere is amazing: so relaxing and warm, everything from the decor to the lighting. The perfect place to relax, read a book, do some work, catch up with a friend… and I love that they sell artwork and items by local artists. Definitely adding to my cafe rotation ♥️

Food and service are great. Prices are reasonable. The Fesenjoon sandwich is delicious. Cheesecake and herbal tea are yummy. Pooneh is very nice and friendly.

Such a cute place with great art and delicious food! I love that they support local artists. The ricotta pistachio croissant and Persian latte are amazing.. They even have tarot cards and note for drawing, which makes the place feel more special.

Cafe Yar Vancouver is honestly one of the best cafés I’ve been to in Vancouver! From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels warm, welcoming, and full of good energy. But the real highlight for me was the coffee — it’s absolutely next level. The flavor is incredible, perfectly balanced, rich, and super smooth. You can truly taste the quality in every sip, and it’s obvious they know exactly what they’re doing when it comes to brewing. The coffee here is genuinely outstanding and unforgettable. And don’t even get me started on the bakery items 😍 Everything is fresh, delicious, and so well made. The pastries are full of flavor and pair perfectly with their amazing coffee. If you’re looking for a place with exceptional coffee and incredible baked goods, I highly recommend Cafe Yar. Definitely coming back again! ☕️🥐👌

We went to this place last night, and it was one of the best places I’ve ever visited in Vancouver. We ordered the veggie wrap and the fesenjoon chicken sandwich, and both were extremely delicious. When you eat the veggie wrap, you can really feel the perfect balance of vegetables, cheese, walnuts, and dates. The hot chocolate was perfect — not too sweet, but rich in chocolate flavor. The owners are some of the cutest and kindest people I’ve ever met. The place feels like their home, and they served us with such care and warmth. At the same time, they are absolutely professional in what they do. I highly recommend this beautiful, artistic place if you’re looking to spend a lovely time and enjoy high-quality food and drinks. 🤍✨

Partner and I visited Yar Cafe this morning and both of us agreed itll be part of our Saturday morning ritual 💕 we ordered hot chocolate, latte, and pistachio baklava. Hot chocolate is so good and rich! My partner said its comparable to what she had living in Belgium. Their latte is also pretty good! One of the best I tried in Vancouver. My fav is the baklava - very nutty and balanced in sweetnesss! We forgot to take photos cause we just dove right in the food and drinks! The ambiance is also great, with lots of natural light! The walls are adourned by arts from various local artists (which are also for sale). The couple who owns the place were so friendly and welcoming!💕 Overall a lovely cozy cafe in our neighborhood! Cant wait to come back and try other things on the menu!

The couple that run this cafe are super sweet, and the food and coffee are amazing! I love the integration of Iranian/Persian culture, it helps this place stand out from other cafes in the area. I’ve been a couple times since they opened, and I’ve loved my latte, Eggnog latte, and the baked goods have all been incredible. Don’t sleep on the sandwiches either, super great.

Stopped in today for a to-go treat and it was excellent! Baklava was rich and not too sweet, and both our drinks were delicious (hot chocolate rich and very chocolatey, not too sweet, latte was solid). The man and woman behind the counter were so lovely (I believe they are the owners?). Over-all prompt service too. Highly recommend a visit!

Quite literally my favourite café in Fairview. The two owners are incredibly warm, welcoming, and thoughtful towards their customers. The pastries and food are some of the best in the area, especially the coffee and teas I've personally tried (Persian Latte / Tea is awesome!). Perfect to bring a friend, chat, work from with a laptop, or even just get something to go (nearby area is great to explore). So cozy!

The coffee is truly high quality — well-balanced in flavor, neither overly bitter nor watery. You can tell they really pay attention to the beans and the extraction process. The beef and chicken sandwiches are a real highlight: tender, juicy beef and a uniquely flavorful chicken that I honestly haven’t tasted anywhere else. Fresh bread and a perfectly satisfying portion. Great coffee paired with a solid, well-made sandwich makes this place an excellent choice for a quick yet high-quality meal. I’ll definitely be back.

This is a nice establishment! Cozy and unpretentious and the service was great. The Americano and Persian breakfast wrap was delicious. If you like pastries, well there’s certainly ample selection, all of which would not disappoint. The artwork was very nice to see too.

Such a cozy little cafe with local artistry. The sweet treats are great, I loved the hot chocolate, and the Persian tea is so so good. The best part is it’s only a few meters from my apartment. I can’t wait to hangout here with a good book and latte in hand

There almond milk Mocha is made with love , it's like a friend you walk with and enjoy the time you have , your sad when that time is over and you look forward for when you get to do it again. Keeps you warm inside. Love this place !

Best Cafe in Vancouver. Their coffee is the best and artistic cozy atmosphere makes you want to stay forever. My daughter says their hot chocolate is the best she ever had.

This is one of my new favorite spots! The atmosphere is super cozy and welcoming from the lights to the music and friendly owners! There is a great variety of local artists on display including prints, pottery, and sculptures. I've been twice and got the Persian Latte both times, it was just too good I needed another one! And the Persian breakfast wrap was amazing with the mint, cheese, and dates combo. Overall, it feels very homey and comforting, its a great place to just hang out and enjoy the day!

We had the orange hot chocolate and the Persian latte. Beautifully made, subtle flavors, not too strong in any one direction, not overly sweet, we loved both. The vibe itself is strongly Persian - this isn’t your generic cafe - with art from various local artists along the walls. Loved my visit here and will definitely be back!

I stopped by after my shift as a treat to myself, and I was not disappointed. The food, coffee, café in general, and owners are super sweet. I was unsure as to what to get, but they recommended the tiramisu danish and mocha for me, and it was perfectly what I needed after a long night. I love the idea of incorporating local art! I couldn’t resist and left with a print myself hehe. The vibes were so cozy and welcoming too. The danish was absolutely wonderful, not too flaky, the right amount of filling too. The mocha was so, so good, I wish I got one for the road. I had a decaf mocha with whipped cream, and there are four different types of chocolate in the drink itself. The best part of the mocha was that it was not too sweet as most are. As soon as I looked down, it was gone! I'm hoping to come here more often in the future! There are so many lovely art pieces and items on the menu I want to be able to snag!

Absolutely Loved the Café! Visited YAR Café recently and had such a wonderful experience. The owners were incredibly warm and welcoming, and the service was top-notch from start to finish. The Persian Latte was the star of the visit such a unique and beautiful blend of flavours, especially with the saffron. A definite must-order! We also tried the biscoff cream coffee and the almond croissant, both were to die for; the biscoff latte was delicious and croissant was fresh, flaky, and perfectly balanced. The overall vibe of the café is cozy, inviting, and full of personality. So happy to have discovered this spot in Vancouver. Amazing & unique drinks menu! They will often change their offerings depending on the season, so come and check what’s new. Delicious vegan & vegetarian options (savoury & sweet). They have a high chair and a basket of kids toys for infants to play with.

Such a lovely café! We ordered their “saffron iced latte”, which is their special drink, and it was absolutely delicious. We also tried their herbal tea pot, which was comforting and fragrant, perfect to pair with the pastries. Everything was well presented and tasted fresh. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. a great spot to relax and enjoy something unique. Highly recommend!

Very sweet coffee shop! Wonderful art on the walls, and the barista was so friendly and homey. I think they will have live jazz music at their grand opening!!! Come check it out!! Coffee was a quick solid choice, and their pastries are phenomenal. They should have came with a warning, they are dangerously good 😍 I think I’m leaving their first review 🙂 and I’m so happy they opened up here. Please come support this business!
